Trailer of movie ‘Manjhi The Mountainmen’- a film by renowned director Ketan Mehta was finally released after a little controversy. Before this movie Mehta has already faced much trouble for his last released film ‘Rang Rasiya’, a biopic on painter Raja Ravi Verma. Verma’s grand-daughter filed a case against the director. Consequently, the film released after much delay and with a disclaimer. In the same way, the director faced trouble for his latest movie because he got legal notice saying a man had rights to make this film. But finally Mehta won the case after several months of fight.
In fact, the film is based on a true story from the 1950s, where a poor but a determined man, near Gaya in Bihar, takes on the whole world and the mighty mountain to break it apart with only a hammer and chisel. And after 22 long years the mission is accomplished. The man did so for the sake of his love.
The film starring versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Manjhi along with Radhika Apte, who plays Manjhi’s wife. The trailer looks promising with the way the entire story has been depicted in a few minutes and it certainly leaves viewers wanting for more.
