Tanu Weds Manu Returns – a real stress buster of the season

Tanuja Trivedi and Manu Sharma the awesome duo is back with a boom in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. And so the interesting vibrant characters like Pappi, Jassi, Payal and Raja Awasthi. It is the sequel to the hit film Tanu Weds Manu which was directed by Anand L Rai in the year of 2011. The film released on 22.05.2015 and won many hearts with their marvellous performances at the box offices.

Kangana Plays A Double role inTWM2

Tanu Weds Manu Returns follows the side effects of a love marriage. It quite naturally what happens when you fall in love with someone and get married to that same person. With time personalities changes and you don’t cope with that kind of love any more. Meaningless quarrels tends to occur when you grow old with each other. Director Anand L Rai has portrayed the mismatch of a couple that looks like romantic in the beginning but turns out to be a mess of a love marriage.

Kangana Ranaut is playing a double role in this film and she has done a fantastic and justification to the characters of Tanu and Datto. Tanu did not lose her uncanny, reckless and daring ways, Datto is an honest, young girl, a fiercely independent one who has good sense of responsibilities. The way Kangana has portrayed the characters of Datto and Tanu is awesome. She again proves her versatility as an actor and also marked herself in the category of marvellous heroines in Bollywood, who doesn’t get nervous to play experimental characters.

Tanu Weds Manu - Madhwan and Kangana

The film is another master piece of Anand L Rai who loves to show films of small town stories. The first film was shot in the towns of Kanpur, Lucknow and Delhi which attracted the north Indian audience very much. But the second film has added Haryana to it and made the film awesome which is a proper Indian masala movie. The beginning of the story is connected with the last part of Tanu Weds Manu which is shown perfectly. The film shows the small town referred to as mohalla and its families and all the private affairs and everything that showcases the experience of living in the small cities and towns of north India which actually connects the audience with the feel of the movie.

Another gem that the director added was Himanshu Sharma with some awesome screenplay and dialogues, he has put some desi ingredients in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. With such crispy and funny dialogues like Batman of her Mohalla and this dialogue of Payal which she said that her kid was born from artificial insemination because “Ye log mardangi bhi to sperm count se naapte hain, ego hurt ho jayega”. Then this feet tapping music along with the lyrics of Raj Shekhar’s Banno to Mat Jaa Re to Ghani Bawri.

Deepak Dobriyal who is playing the character of Pappi has totally justified his role in this movie. And director Anand L Rai has given him those hilarious dialogues and he has done the role beyond expectations. The sequel does not give that much emphasis on Swara and Ejaz but Deepak has clearly stolen the show. His perfect comic timing and the way he continues to be Manu’s sidekick is really funny to watch. Then you will get to a new character which has been added in this sequel is Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub who plays as Advocate Arun Kumar Singh also known as Chintu. He also has some funny dialogues like “Hum hain kandha. Jab ladki dukhi hoti hai to humare paas aati hai. Aapne jhatak tha to doctor aa gaya, abhi doctor ne jhatak diya hai to hum hain. Jab hum jhatakein to to tum wapas lapak lena.”

R Madhavan has fully justified his role among two character played by Kananga Ranaut. And then the villain of the first part Raja Awasthi is back but this time with different shade.

Overall the flim is good masala movie that people would love in this scorching heat. This will give them a stress buster.
