Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has today announced today , new Broadband plan , at just a mere price of Rs.49 per month. The plan applies to Mumbai MTNL currently and once can download upto 200MB per month.The plan name is DSL Trib-49 Plan at monthly rent of Rs.49 and provides a broadband speed of 256-2MBPS (min-max speed) .There are two numbers for assistance as opened by MTNL mumbai 1500 /022-22221500 and 1504/022-22221504.Every additional 1MB download after the 200 limit will cost you Rs 1 extra.

The new broadband plan by MTNL will be the lowest broadband plan in India at the speed of 2 mbps. MTNL which uses ADSL +2 technology  has the 90 %  of the total Broadband Market share in Delhi and Mumbai. This new step is a beginning of  broadband tarrif war initiated by MTNL.

MTNL is also Unlimited Broadband plan without any “Fair Usage Policy” or limitations regarding download and uploads just at Rs.599 per month.
