Motorola has launched Motorola Droid 3 with an android operating system that offers several new features.This smart phone is now starting to appear in Verizon wireless network management system.Droid3 is a refinement of the previous two models Motorola droid and Motorola Droid2.

DESIGN

Droid 3  has a slider design with a five row QWERTY keypad.The dual core processor phone comes with the popular Android operating system. It has a modified keyboard that features a fifth row of buttons to bring dedicated number of buttons to the users.

CAMERA

The quality of the camera is good.The usual feature like flash, autofocus, and geo-tagging attributes supports good quality images. The resolution of its camera is 8 megapixel.Videos is recorded in MPEG4 video format with the camera that comes with advanced features like scene mode, color effects, white balance controls.

MULTIMEDIA FEATURES

The CDMA Droid 3  phone allows 1900MHz , 800 MHz CDMA EvDO bands on the wireless network.It has support for audio file formats like MP3, AAC, AAC+eAAC+, WAV, MIDI.Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.Memory expansion is possible with micro SD/micro SDHC memory card allowing up to 32GB storage on external memory card.

OTHER FEATURES :

Motorola droid 3 has been powered by CDMA network running on the bandwidth of 800/1900MHz and UMTS.The messaging features like SMS, MMS, mail and IM allow the user to express our views quickly.The other features like games are easy to play.HTML browser supports for unlimited net surfing and easy access to the social networking sites .


Organizer features such as calendar, alarms, document Viewers, calculator and many other applications are found.Google has made some changes in this phone as it supports for multiple gmail or exchange accounts.The user can view the gmail accounts separately and all the other accounts can be combined to view in the combined inbox view.Apart from it quick contact menu is available for our contacts list.

DRAWBACKS

The camera found to be slow in its operation as it is slow to focus and snap pictures.Camera and Video quality are poor.The design of the keyboard is not so good as the users often confused about which keys they are operating because of the landscape touch keyboard.

VERDICT :

Though the operation of the keyboard is not easy the Motorola droid 3 is known for its navigation application, good mail management, good browser.The users who in need of the smart phones should look after Motorola droid 3.
