EOS 7D the new digital camera by Canon is now in India.

Canon has announced six new digital cameras for Indian buyers the EOS 7D, Canon PowerShot G11, PowerShot S90, PowerShot SX20 IS, PowerShot SX120 IS, and IXUS 200IS.These all models accompany the new Smart AUTO technology for getting clear & crisp images while on the move.The PowerShot models now provides 720p HD video and integratesa a touch screen user interface for easy navigation through images and menus.

EOS 7D is a professional oriented 18MP APS-C CMOS Sensor digital camera.It runs on DIGIC 4 processors that faciliates a fast, high-quality act in all light conditions,An 8 frames per second image capture adds to a whole new photographic experience.    


PowerShot G11 is aimed for people who love to capture landscapes and professional portraits.It is a mini sized camera with SLR features.The new camera has 10  megapixel High Sensitivity System, 5x Optical Zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization. The camera carries a price tag of Rs. 31,995 in India.

The PowerShot S90 comes with a High Sensitivity System sensor in addition to a 28mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens to help It also has the same 10 megapixel High Sensitivity System with a 3.8x Optical Zoom and Optical Image Stabilization and 3.0-inch display.It supports recording modes like RAW + JPEG.The price of PowerShot S90 Digital Camera in India is approx Rs. 26, 995.

Panasonic has launched its new LUMIX DMC-GF1 digital camera , dubbed as the smallest and lightest  camera with built-in flash.

This camera has introduced some innovative functions like exposure meter, aperture preview and shutter speed preview through the live view.

The new camera by Panasonic is able to record vivid still shots, as well as smooth, beautiful motion pictures providing outstanding quality.The camera has been made available in four colors: true black, active red, sleek silver, and clean white.

The SLR look alike Panasonic GF1 comes equipped with a built-in flash and boasts a large, 3.0-inch Intelligent LCD with a wide viewing angle and full 460,000-dot resolution.

The 341g camera's  intelligent LCD offers extremely fine, automatic backlight control in combination with high resolution for outstanding viewing in sunny outdoor or dim indoor situations.

The Panasonic digital camera has 12.1Mp sensor as the DMC-G1, 1280 x 720 HD recording in AVCHD Lite format, an optional hot-shoe mounted electronic viewfinder, and a 3 inch LCD with 460k dots.

Sony unveils DSC-W180 & DSC-W190 lowcost digital cameras

Sony has added two new digital camera products to its ever increasing lineup of digital cameras.

DSC-W180 and DSC-W190 which are 18.7mm thick and has features like automatic Face Detection, SmileShutter, digital SteadyShot and automatic optimization of image settings.

These new and extremely easy to operate W series digital cameras boast a clear photo 2.7″ LCD display and comes in a brushed metal chassis.

This 93.4X54.5X18.7 Sony digital camera has 10.1 megapixel resolution which faciliates a high quality image output.The camera produces  3x optical zoom .The camera  recognizes upto 8 faces in a scene with face recognition function and the Digital SteadyShot ensures that the images are not blurred out when you are a bit shaky while capturing a moment.The product has Internal memory of 12MB.The  118 g Lithium K based NP-BK1 battary in this cam provides 145min of life.It costs Rs.8,990 in India

FinePix S2000HD, the latest digital camera by Fujifilm has been launched.The camera comes with a three-year warranty.It has 10 megapixel camera with 15x optical zoom.The camera is about 426g in weight.The LCD display is 2.7-inch.The inbuilt memory of this Fuzi product is approx. 58 MB.

The S2000HD dimensions are 111.0(W)×78.9(H)×75.7(D) mm/4.4(W)×3.1(H)×3.0(D) in.Finepix uses Fujinon 15 X Optical zoom lensThe supported file formats are  MPEG4 for video and JPEG for still images.

FinePix S2000HD has Dual Image Stabilization feature that helps to record while on the move without blur.It supports digital zoom of max 5.7x.The Rs 13,999 priced S2000HD digital camera can capture HD movies at 1280 x 720 pixels and wide screen stills at 1920 x 1080 pixels.On price front this digi camera is somewhat near Sony's  DSC-T77 digital camera model.

The camera comfortably displays clear high definition photographs and movies on HDTV.There is also a remote control and cable included with this digi cam.

The FinePix S2000HD's has anti-blur protection feature and can shoot continuously at the rate of 13.5 frames per second with max 33 frames (3MP mode).The face detection can reconize upto 10 faces in FinePix S2000HD.The Instant Zoom feature enables the user to keep the subject in the shot at long distance by offering a wide viewing area around the frame.

The FinePix S2000HD will show up to 100 images in micro form, while the control buttons can be used to select specific images.It comes with 4xAA type alkaline batteries.

This is the first Fujifilm camera having total compatibility with high definition television (HDTV) systems for both stills and movies.

Sony launches 11 new , more powerful digital still cameras

Sony India this week launched 11 new digital still cameras including the world's thinnest digital still camera CyberShot T90   showcased in Las Vegas on 3rd of march  this month.

It uses latest technologies like optical image stabiliser and digital still camera with burst shooting and sweep panorama function.

Available in 24 different colours these cameras will cost you between Rs. 7,990 and Rs. 29,990.

All CyberShot models cameras have a resolution ranging from 10 to 12 mega-pixel which gives an excellent picture quality.

Sony which is the leader of digital camera market in India with 37% market share plans to sell 5 lakh camera devices this year.
