Recently , Amazon.Com issued a warning  to its customers about one of Samsung’s digital picture frames sold to customers been infected with a virus. While this incident has created embarassment for Samsung  it is a respite that the virus is not that harmful.

Amazon had also , earlier this week ,alerted its customers to an issue about Samsung SPF-85H 8 inch Digital Picture Frame affecting  installation CD  shipped with a copy of the W32.Sality.AE virus. Amazon has adviced the buyers to download a recent copy of the application directly from Samsung’s website rather than using the CD.

And while this has exposed Samsung's quality control and brought a great deal of embarassment as well .It shows that the company or the partners of the same had a loose security system around the production and lagged in up-to-date antivirus software.

On customers part it is less likely to be the same story.They are expected to have an up-to-date antivirus on their system which is sure to detect the virus.If the customers had inserted the CD without up-to-date antivirus , most likely the virus has already got into the pc and making friendship with other existing malwares...
