Ford Figo Now On Indian Roads at 3.5 lakhs

The first small car in India by Ford branded as "Figo" has been launched on March 9.The car is launched in two version petrol and diesel.These price in India for these versions are Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 4.48 lakh respectively.
Ford Figo is launched with two diesel variants Figo Diesel Lxi and Figi Diesel Vxi.The cars design looks chunky and muscular with neat accents and details all around.
It is based on the Ford Global B platform, and is built only in Chennai to be sold worldwide. In Italian "Figo" means "cool".Both versions of the Ford Figo come with a 5-speed manual transmission system and have a top speed of 160kmph.Ford car mileage was found to be give a mileage of 12 km per liter in cities and 15 km per litre on highways.
In petrol version Ford Figo uses four cylinder 1196cc 16V DOHC petrol engine rated at 71 PS (52 kW; 70 bhp) @ 6000rpm with 102 N·m (75 ft·lbf) @ 4000rpm maximum torque while its diesel version uses four cylinder 1399cc 8V SOHC diesel engine rated at 69 PS (51 kW; 68 bhp) @4000rpm with 160 N·m (120 ft·lbf) @ 2000rpm maximum torque.
