LPG version of Chevrolet Beat compact car has now been formally launched in India.The car uses SMARTECH engine and is been offered in two versions LPG Beat LS and LPG Beat LT.These versions has 100,000-kilometer warranty.

This beat generates power of 80.04 PS @ 6400 rpm and torque of 103.8 Nm @ 4400 rpm in LPG mode providing around 13.29 km/l.You can travel up to 349 kilometers on LPG alone and 1,000 kilometers on LPG and gasoline combined

Chevrolet Beat LPG has multi-point sequential injection that provides a smooth transition between petrol and LPG with no loss in power, jerking or backfire.According to the press note the security in lpg version is enhanced with use of high pressure LPG pipes made of high strength nylon material which has less weight, no chance of inside/outside corrosion throughout its life with better routing control and no kinking effects at bends.

The features makes it automatically shifts to petrol mode when the LPG is finished.

Maruti has launched its new vehicle Kizashi in luxury sedan car segment.This new car costs Rs 16.5 lakhs and will compete with Chevrolet Optra and Honda Civic like cars in this segment.

The maruti car sports a 2.4-litre petrol engine and generates around 185 bhp.Its six-speed manual powers the engine.The car bears similarity in engine to Honda accord but more cheaper than that.

There has been a growth of 2.8% in mid-size sedan segment in India and Maruti also tries to capture its share.The car will be available in showrooms later this year.
